Azim Premji University invites applications for admissions to the Diploma in Inclusive Education for the academic year 2025–26. This diploma program is designed to strengthen the capabilities of teachers and educators in mainstream schools to support children with diverse learning needs and help them realize their full learning potential. With a strong emphasis on inclusive education as both a concept and a practice, the program provides theoretical foundations and practical tools to create supportive and adaptive learning environments.

Offered in collaboration with the Spastics Society of Karnataka and Ummeed Child Development Center, the program brings together expertise from leading institutions in the field of disability and child development. It is ideal for school teachers, special educators, and education professionals committed to making regular classrooms more inclusive.

The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including understanding disabilities, identifying children with learning challenges, curriculum adaptation, classroom strategies, and family engagement. It also emphasizes early identification, individualized support, and inclusive pedagogical approaches. Teachers will be equipped to plan lessons that cater to varied learning styles and use assessment methods that are responsive to individual needs.

By the end of the program, participants will be empowered to recognize and respond effectively to the needs of all learners, especially those who may otherwise be marginalized in traditional classroom settings. The diploma aims to build a community of educators who can drive inclusive education practices within their schools and contribute to building a more equitable education system.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The Diploma in Inclusive Education is designed for Teachers in the primary and middle school, and to Educators in administrative roles, and Counsellors belonging to the public and private school systems from public and private school with minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, Undergraduate in any discipline is preferred and Working knowledge of English is required
