examinations are scheduled to be held in some states/union territories on 15 December 2024 (Sunday).
Hence, keeping in view the interest of the candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on 14th December 2024 (Saturday). In case number of candidates is more in any city, the exam may also be conducted on 15th December, 2024 (Sunday),

APPLICATION FEES
Candidates applying for Paper 1 or Paper 2 belonging to General Category to pay Rs 1000, for both papers Rs 1200, While the Reserved category candidates applying for Paper 1 or Paper 2 to pay 500 and for both the papers Rs 600
EXAM PATTERN
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V, Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. Main question paper shall be Bilingual (Hindi/English).
PAPER 1
Paper 1 to be conducted for 150 Marks, Duration of Exam is 150 minutes, Question to consist of questions on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Each Concept to have 30 MCQ’s for 30 Marks
The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. The Test items in Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction,
The Test items in Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities. The Test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding and applications of the subjects

Paper 2 to be conducted for 150 Marks, Duration of Exam is 150 minutes, Question to consist of questions on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Science, Each Concept to have 30 MCQ’s for 30 Marks
