Pre-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2024 – 25 Applications Now Open

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has invited online applications for the Pre-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities for the year 2024 – 25

Pre-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities open to students with benchmark disability i.e. 40% or more disability and having a valid certificate of disability issued by the competent authority as prescribed under Rules,

No two children with disabilities of the same parents will be entitled to receive benefits of the scheme, Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year

ELIGIBLITY

Students with Disabilities (40% or more disability) studying in Class 9 and 10 in in a Government school or in a school recognized by the Govt. or by a Central / State Board of Secondary Education, Annual income of parents from all sources less than Rs 2.5 Lakh are eligible to apply

DISABILITY ALLOWANCE

Visual Impairment or Intellectual Disabilities will be given Rs 4000 per annum Disability allowance, while All other types of disabilities will be given Rs 2000 per annum

BENEFIT

The Maintenance allowance (Per month) for Day Scholar – Rs 500 and Hosteller – Rs 800, Book Grant (per annum) – Rs 1000

DOCUMENTS

The documents required to apply are photograph, proof of age, disability certificate, income certificate of the parent, tuition fees receipt, last academic qualification certificate

UDID/UDID enrolment shall be mandatory for availing the benefits of the Scholarship scheme, Applicants have to undergo Aadhaar based biometric authentication to avail the Scholarship,
