PAN – Aadhar corrections : Rectify the mistakes online in easy steps

Income Tax Department has made it mandatory to link PAN and Aadhaar within 30th June 2023, failure to do so the Pan card becomes inactive, if the name, address, date of birth etc are wrong, mismatch in your Pan or Aadhar and need to be rectified then an easy option been given 

Before link Pan with Aadhar it is  necessary to rectify the wrong information of both the documents, corrections in Pan can be done by visit the NSDL portal, while corrections in Aadhar can be done by visit UIDAI portal

STEP BY STEP GUIDE  – CORRECTIONS IN PAN

Step 1 : For making corrections in PAN, visit NSDL portal (CLICK HERE)

Step 2 : On the Home page Select the PAN Correction option from the Application Type dropdown box and fill in your personal details.

Step 3 : After filling the personal details enter the captcha code and then click on submit.

Step 4 : A message with the token number will be received

Step 5 : After step 4 click on Continue with PAN Application Form, online PAN application page will be displayed

Step 6 : Check all your details in the preview form, make necessary changes if any and then proceed for payment.

Step 7 : After entering all your details and making the payment, a receipt will be generated. take the  print out and submit it to NSDL e-gov office along with physical proof of documents to make the corrections / changes 

STEP BY STEP GUIDE – CORRECTIONS IN AADHAR

Step 1 : Visit the Aadhar Portal (CLICK HERE)

Step 2 : On the Home page Login to  using your Aadhaar number and enter the One Time Password (OTP) received to the registered mobile number.

Step 3 : Click on Update Document and the user details of the Aadhaar will be displayed 

Step 4 : Get verify the details click on the next hyper-link displayed

Step 5 : To make corrections, from the dropdown list Select Proof of Identity and Proof of Address document 

Step 6 : Upload copies of the Proof of Identity and Proof of Address to update his / her documents, then submit
