The Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, is launching Jal Shakti Abhiyan 2023 on 4th March 2023.
It is important that the students understand the necessity of saving water and water conservation. For this purpose, the students should be encouraged for water conservation by conducting various activities such as writing of slogans, posters, banners, quizzes, debate competitions, wall writings etc.
Schools may also take up different experiential learning practices to make students to inculcate water conservation habit in their daily routine
An online course on Catch the Rain – Jal Shakti Abhiyan has been launched by NCERT on DIKSHA portal. Students can enrollment ends on 25th March and enrollment last date 31st March 2023
Ministry of Jal Shakti, National Water Mission, launched a campaign Catch the Rain with the tag line Catch the rain, where it falls, when it falls in 2020 & 2021 to make the states and all stakeholders to create Rain Water Harvesting Structures (RWHS) suitable to the climatic conditions and sub-soil strata, with people’s active participation
