The online nominations are invited for Jamnalal Bajaj Awards 2022, the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation established in 1977, instituted four Awards, to globally propagate the ideals of Jamnalal Bajaj.
The annual awards are the Foundation’s gratifying felicitation to those women and men involved at the grassroots level, who are committed to inclusive development, working in line with Mahatma Gandhi’s constructive work program and who have taken a vow to selflessly serve the people, their community and nation, at large. Jamnalal Bajaj Awards are categorized into three National and one International Award
National Award for Construction Work
The Award, instituted in 1978, comprises of a cash award of Rs. 10,00,000, a trophy and citation to be given annually to an individual / individuals for outstanding contribution in any one or more fields of constructive work.
National Award for Science & Technology
This Award was instituted in 1978; and comprises of a Citation, a Trophy and a Cash Prize of Rs. 20 Lakh is given annually and exclusively to an individual for outstanding contribution in the field of application of science and technology following Gandhian principles for rural and tribal development, particularly for the weaker sections of the society
National Awards for Women & Child Welfare
The Award was instituted in 1980 in the memory of Padma Vibhushan Smt. Jankidevi Bajaj, wife of Shri Jamnalal Bajaj. A Citation, a Trophy and a Cash Prize of 20 Lakh is given annually and ONLY to a woman for outstanding contribution in the field of development and welfare of women and children following Gandhian ideology.
International
The Award was instituted in 1988 to commemorate the birth centenary of Shri Jamnalal Bajaj. A Citation, a Trophy and a Cash Prize of Rs. 20 Lakh / Rs. 2 Million (its equivalent in foreign currency) is given annually and exclusively to an individual of a foreign nationality for outstanding contribution in propagating and carrying out work in line with Gandhian principles outside India.
