The notification for the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023 has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), The Candidates applying for the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023 should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria for the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023. Their selection to all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions
LAST DATE
The online Applications can be submitted till 21st February 2023 till 6 PM, The candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their applications after the submission
QUALIFICATION
A candidate must hold a Graduate degree from any of the recognised Universities, Candidates who have appeared at a qualifying examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023 will also be eligible for admission to the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023
APPLY
Candidates should submit the application online, It is be be noted by the candidates to register first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform and then proceed for the next step of filling up the online application for the examination.
MODIFY
The Union Public Service Commission has extended the facility of making corrections of the application form for UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023 from the last date. The correction window will remain open for 7 days, from 22nd to 28th February 2023
EXAM PATTERN
Candidates appearing for the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023 should note that there will be penalty (negative marking) for each wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers
The UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023 will consist of two successive stages
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination
It will be Objective type for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination
(ii) UPSC Indian Forest Service (Mains) Examination 2023
It will be Written and Interview for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts
AGE LIMIT
A candidate appearing for the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023 must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the maximum age of 32 years on the 1st of August 2023
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS
Every candidate appearing at the examination shall be permitted six (6) attempts at the UPSC Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination 2023. However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC / ST / OBC and PwBD category candidates who are otherwise eligible are being provided
APPLICATION FEES
Candidates are required to pay fee of Rs 100, while Female / SC / ST / Persons with Benchmark Disability Candidates are exempted from payment of fee
